Unno Burn Factory Full Suspension Mountain Bike 2023

Unno launches the new BURN on a completely redesigned platform. Featuring 170/160mm travel, a mullet wheelsize set up, a longer and slacker geometry and a new virtual pivot suspension linkage, the new bike provides a modern and stable feeling.

The new BURN is a bike to be #Onfire. Unno wanted to create something ready for big mountain adventures, yet ground-shaking when full face helmets are on. From hard local spins to bike park laps, the all-new BURN is as aggressive as you are. Like the recently launched Mith, it comes in 3 reach-based different sizes: S1 (435mm), S2 (470mm) and S3 (510mm).

Unno also introduces the Storage: a space to fit tubes, spare parts, and tools in the downtube. The cover slides up with a simple and robust mechanism. The BURN also features an integrated design. The hidden clamp, the DEUX integrated bars and the internal cable routing keep the looks clean and tidy.

Another technical feature is the use of double row, EnduroMAX technology for all the 7mm bearings. Those provide a more solid feeling and a stronger sensation on the bike as they better support both radial and axial forces. Moreover, they’re more durable than the standard ones.. The result is a bike not afraid to be ridden hard.

Unno also used recycled materials. Each BURN contains 201g of recycled plastic. All the Polyamide (PA+GF15%) parts come from Oceanworks, with 80% of it coming straight from the ocean, mainly from recycled fishing nets. The TPU parts are also from recycled sources, and the brand looks forward to manufacturing the parts from ocean plastic from 2023. For now, it’s a very small grain of sand for a better world, but Unno expects other brands to also develop sustainable solutions.

Unno have been pioneers in the long and slack geometry, setting new industry standards. The geometry looks aggressive in the charts, but it becomes more aggressive when at SAG point. With a recommended SAG of 35% (+/- 5%), the overall geometry is longer and slacker than it looks at first sight. About the kinematics, a high ratio progression has been applied from 0 to the SAG point to have a very sensitive and compliant suspension. From the SAG onwards, there is enough progression to use a coil shock, or to avoid harsh bottom outs while still being able to take advantage of the 160mm of travel. This allows the use of both air and coil shocks. For the not-that-technical heads, it is a fair statement to say that the progression curves are #Onfire too.
